Florida has gone high tech in getting critical information to families. Family Voices has created Family Health Information Stations that are exhibits at popular conferences. The exhibits are equipped with a computer, printer, resource directory and state database of resource information. Personalized printouts provide families with specific information on navigating the Florida health care system. Our Coordinators have many partners as they assist families, including CMS/Title V, Medicaid, Children's Mental Health, KidCare (CHIP) , provider organizations, Department of Education, the Early Intervention Program, State Coordinating Council and the Governor's office. Still, families in Florida face the pressing problem of inadequate coverage for therapies, home care or related services. If families live in remote areas of the state, providers are few and far between, even when these therapies are covered. Family Voices has a strong partnership with Title V in Florida.
