The state's Title V agency will soon have a Family Advisory Council, led by a parent facilitator, who provide information and support to parent groups in Missouri, and will also ensure the family perspective and input on major Title V decisions affecting children with special health care needs, including the needs assessment and block grant process. A Family Voices column reaches families throughout the state, updating them on health and other issues. More than 100 families have received direct assistance on specific problems through Children's Benefits Service for Families (CBSF). There is interest in establishing a Family Voices Chapter in Missouri.
