Family Voices of Ohio, now a formal Family Voices Chapter, has worked out a partial answer to the shortage of home care staff for families. Working with Medicaid and families, the ARC of Ohio will provide training on providing home care to college students. In exchange for their participation, students will earn credits and money as well as valuable experience and first hand knowledge for whatever related career they plan to have. Family Voices of Ohio hopes to use this example of partnership and compromise to help families in Ohio get the services they need.
