I-Flow Pain Pump
Recently, The American Journal of Sports Medicine published an article linking reports of postarthroscopic glenohumeral chondrolysis to intra articular pain pump catheters. They found that pain pumps in the shoulder may cause permanent shoulder injuries. It is alleged that these pain pumps such as those manufactured by I-Flow may permanently deteriorate and eventually destroy cartilage in the shoulder area. These reports have linked this condition, called postarthroscopic glenohumeral chrondrolysis or PAGCL to intra-articular pain pump catheters such as those manufactured by Stryker, I-Flow and Donjoy. Symptoms include shoulder weakness, pain and a decreased range of rotation. Other symptoms include clicking, popping or grinding of the shoulder.
There have been a number of lawsuits filed against makers of shoulder pain pumps. If you or someone you love has developed chondrolysis as a result of an I Flow pain pump, you should contact an attorney immediately. For a free case evaluation, please fill out the form provided below.
