The drug Zicam, produced by Matrixx (formerly known as Gumtech) claims that the length of the common cold can be reduced by 3x through intranasal administration of zinc gluconate. The product however, been alleged to cause Anosmia, a loss of smell and taste.
The lost sense of smell and the lost sense of taste severely inhibits a persons life style and puts them in unnecessary danger. Multiple lawsuits filed against the Matrixx Initiatives, Inc and against Zicam L.L.C there have been standard complaints that the Plaintiffs have consistently noted.
